SnoWise Chatel - Our Services

In addition to providing self-catered accommodation SnoWise-Chatel can put together a tailor-made package to meet what you want from your holiday.

We can arrange everything for your winter sports holiday; transfers from Geneva airport, ski/board hire, lift passes, private and ski school instruction and even an early morning bread delivery service to your door.

Throughout the rest of the year we can make your holiday whatever you want it to be - relaxing and peaceful or full of exercise and excitement.

WELCOME MEETING

We hold a welcome meeting, with drinks and nibbles, each Sunday evening in Petite-Chatel so that you can meet us and your fellow guests, ask any questions. It is also an ideal time to pay for the in-resort services you have chosen.

In addition to the welcome meeting we will be available each afternoon between 4 and 6 p.m. in the village to answer any questions you may have about your holiday, the resort, skiing etc.

WELCOME PACK

When you arrive at your self-catered accommodation there will be some milk, bread, butter, wine and fruit for you.

EARLY MORNING BREAD DELIVERY SERVICE

Don't worry about having to go to the bakery before breakfast. We can deliver your bread and croissants to your apartment door each morning. Just give us your order on arrival in resort and it will be left on the door of your accommodation every morning before 8 a.m.

EQUIPMENT HIRE

There are many shops in the village that sell and hire winter sport equipment. We have arrangements with two of these and a discount is offered to SnoWise-Chatel clients. Prices vary depending on the type of equipment. Let us know your requirements and we will include the cost in your quotation. We can make arrangements in advance of your arrival so that you will just have to be 'matched' with the correct equipment in resort.

Renting in resort avoids the additional equipment carriage charges levied by most airlines and reduces the luggage you have to carry. Also, for developing skiers/boarders, it means that each year you can get equipment which suits your ability as your skill level progresses, without the cost of buying new equipment each year.

SKI/BOARD INSTRUCTION

Ski instruction is best provided by those who are fully trained and qualified. There are several ski schools in Chatel but SnoWise-Chatel recommends the International Ski School. All their instructors speak English and it is their intention that the lessons should be enjoyable as well as effective. They have a very flexible programme; you can join a group or book private lessons at any level from absolute first-time beginner up to expert.

Pre-booking of instruction is advised so as to avoid disappointment and at peak times is essential. Just indicate your requirements and we will include the cost in your quotation and make all the necessary arrangements and reservations in advance. You will then just have to turn up and enjoy your instruction.

LIFT PASSES

Lift passes are available for the whole of the Portes de Soleil ski area or for the resort of Chatel. We can arrange them so that they are available for you on arrival in resort.

SKI COMPANION

In order to help you get the most out of the area and your skiing you are invited to join up with our ski companion service which will operate for a minimum of 3 days each week.

TRANSFERS FROM GENEVA AIRPORT

We provide return transfers from Geneva airport. If you are not self-driving we will include the cost of transfers in your quotation.

BED LINEN

Bed linen is NOT provided in self-catered accommodation; it may be hired locally if required. Please note that duvet covers are not available for hire in the village. Please indicate on the booking form if you would like us to arrange for linen to be supplied. Guide price 18 Euros per set.
